Van freshman Kendall Brown made the most of her first year competing in high school athletics, finishing seventh overall in the 4A division during this year’s State Track and Field Meet in Austin.

The annual Van High School All-Sports Banquet was held May 8 in the VHS Cafetorium. Isaiah Allred was recognized as the “Male Athlete of the Year” and Alexis Walton was selected as the “Female Athlete of the Year.” An estimated 450 were in attendance at the banquet.
