Second Vandal Service Day set for May 12, 13

Vandal Service Day is a student volunteer event to express Van ISD’s sincere gratitude in remembrance of all who came to the school district’s aid after the devastating tornado that struck the school district on May 10, 2015.

Through service-oriented projects, Vandal Service Day fosters campus and community unity as students come together to show their selfless spirit and gratitude to the communities of Van ISD.

Conducted near the anniversary of the tornado, the Van Vandals will serve in the spirit of “Looking Back, Moving Forward.”

From raking yards, planting trees, weeding flowerbeds to hauling debris, Vandal Service Day will unite students with community members in need.

Many of the projects will be carried out in the spirit of “Looking Back” in working to repair damage done by the tornado, however, many projects will be done in the spirit of “Moving Forward” with jobs done to help any community members in need.
