Services for Michelle Elaine Johnson were held Thursday, April 27, 2017, at Wedgwood Baptist Church with Kevin Gailey officiating. 
A graveside service was held Saturday, 
April 29, 2017, at Pleasant Home Baptist Church Cemetery, Andalusia, Ala. 
She passed away at the age of 47, Saturday, April 22, 2017, in Edgecliff Village.
She was born July 7, 1969, in Pasadena and lived in Edgecliff Village, Fort Worth, for the past 20 years. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University-Commerce in August 1991, she worked as a Special Education Resource teacher at Sycamore Elementary School for the Crowley Independent School District.  She later earned her master’s degree from Stephen F. Austin University in 2004 and certifications as a teacher for children with visual impairment and orientation mobility specialist. With her smile and laughter she advocated for her students, whom she referred to as her kids, and touched countless lives throughout her career.
Shortly after moving to Edgecliff Village, Michelle and family joined Wedgwood Baptist Church.  She loved her three children and their active service in church ministries. She considered herself a connoisseur of Mexican food and listened to Patsy Cline. An avid runner, she ran 5K’s and enjoyed staying fit with her daughters. She preferred the beauty of spring with the bloom and scent of magnolias and amaryllis.  
She is preceded in death by her father, Foyl DuBose.
She is survived by her son, Kyle Tippie; daughters, Emily and Trinity Garrett; her mother, Claudia and husband, David Clark; grandmother, Dottie Branum; twin brother, Russell DuBose and wife, Kelley; nephew, Jackson DuBose; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
