On Aug. 10, Randy Martin and Tristan Rhys, innkeepers and artists, proudly cut the ribbon to officially open Miss Ashley’s Downtown Loft, with help of Edom Area Chamber of Commerce board members Jan Blackmon, Lena Curtis, Kerian Massey and Kathy Holdway. Adding to the celebration were local citizens and Craig Blackmon, photographer.

Old-timers remember Miss Eva Ashley selling Exxon gas, candy and repairing quilts as she lived above the 100-yearold historical station. The tour of the upstairs loft reflected the innkeepers’ artist eye and the décor is stunning. The Edom Area Chamber of Commerce leaders are proud to see The Loft offering tourists a downtown Edom experience. The Edom Art Emporium, on the first floor, is a funky art gallery with scores of artists & weekly classes.

Travelers and locals needing an escape are invited to lease the vacation rental which offers a bedroom, stocked kitchen, sunroom and balcony over-looking Edom’s artists’ galleries and businesses on corner of HWY 279 and FM 314. The rental sleeps one to two adults and is available for two+ night stays. For info or to book contact 903-579-6955, MissAshleysDowntownLoft@ Gmail.com or facebook.com/MsAshleysDowntownLoft
