A memorial service for Michael Edward Everett, 85, of Canton was held on Sunday, February 25, 2024, at Eubank Funeral Home, officiated by the Canton Boys Scouts Troop #378.

Michael passed away suddenly at home on February 22, 2024. He was born on July 14, 1938, in Plentywood, Montana to Leroy and Doris Hansen Everett.

Michael grew up in a military family, and yes, he was an ‘Army Brat.’ The family lived all over the United States and even in Japan for a few years. Michael graduated from high school in Park Forrest, Illinois and earned his BBA from Texas A&I University in Kingsville, Texas.

Michael was a District Executive for the Boys Scouts of America until his retirement. He was proud to be involved with helping young boys become great men.

Michael married, Lou Ann Gullett, on August 13, 1988. The couple had a full and happy life traveling the western United States and touring World War II sites in England and Europe. Michael spent his retirement years volunteering with Meals on Wheels and the VZC Animal Society along with various projects, which included his old mustang and ‘honey do’s,’ He is preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Doris Everett; and brother in-law, Skip Keever.

Michael is survived by his wife, Lou Ann Everett; stepson, Walter Teal and wife, Kachell; grandchildren, Justice Teal and Liberty Teal; sister, Mary Keever; brother, Mark Everett; and a host of other family andfriends.
